Alyssa & Ty

4.6.2024 | Meadows at Mossy Creek

How We Met

In March of 2023, we got an email from Alyssa and Ty and we were thrilled! Alyssa had heard of us from one of her bridesmaids, Jordan, who we helped her plan her wedding in April of 2022. We quickly set up a discovery call to hear about Alyssa and Ty’s plans for their day and to explain how we could help. They were planning an April 2024 wedding at Meadows at Mossy Creek and were excited to get started on planning. Not long after that call, we had another April wedding on our calendar and we were just so excited to get to play a part in Alyssa and Ty’s big day!

Down to Business

We promptly got to planning and talking about the big day after our initial call. Alyssa had a lot already in motion, so we were excited to hear all about it! We went through all of the details such as timeline, floorplan, and the decorations to ensure everything was squared away prior to wedding day. On the Friday before wedding day, we headed up to an event space in Cleveland to practice ceremony with the wedding party and to go over key times and details for the following day. There was so much excitement in the air that night, everyone was so ready for Saturday to finally be here!

The Big Day

The day was finally here! It was time for everyone to head to Meadows at Mossy Creek for Alyssa and Ty’s wedding day! The day started bright and early for the ladies who were being pampered getting their hair and makeup done by Styles on Site in the most incredible bridal suite we have ever seen. Meanwhile, vendors started to roll in and get prepped for wedding day. Darby’s Cottage, their florist, was busy setting up the florals for the ceremony and reception while Sweet Storys, the decorator was working alongside the florist and setting out the decor. They truly brought Alyssa’s vision to life. Seeing her reaction to the floral and decor of her dreams was a moment of the day we will never forget. Cari, their photographer was busy capturing photos of the details of the day and then headed over to the bridal suite to get some cute getting-ready photos. Alyssa stepped into her stunning gown from The White Magnolia before doing a first look with her bridesmaids and her dad. After knocking out some bridesmaid photos, Cari whisked Alyssa and Ty (separately) away for their first touch and private vows. Even though they didn’t see each other at this moment, you could feel how connected they were with one another simply by the touch of their hands and the sounds of their voices. Once they were done with this intimate moment, Alyssa headed back to the bridal suite to rest up before the ceremony while Ty met up with his guys for some group photos with his groomsmen.

The day was flying by and guests were starting to arrive! We encouraged everyone to find their seats and got everyone lined up for the processional. “Wildest Dreams” by Duomo started to play, so we sent Scott, their officiant, and Ty down the aisle. They were followed by family, the wedding party, and last but certainly, not least, Aspyn, Alyssa, and Ty’s daughter who was their flower girl. We opened the doors and sent Alyssa and her dad, Rusty, down the aisle. Scott led a personal and intimate ceremony. Alyssa and Ty’s marriage was sealed with a kiss and they were walking back down the aisle hand in hand (with Aspyn of course)!

Guests were invited to a cocktail hour to mingle with one another and pick up signature drinks or something from the charcuterie table while Alyssa and Ty knocked out family photos, full wedding party photos, and couple portraits. Once we got all of the photos we wanted, we invited guests to find their seats. Reception began with the wedding party being introduced followed by Mr. & Mrs. Black. Alyssa and Ty immediately went into their first dance which was followed by a welcome and blessing by Alyssa’s dad. The City Barbeque buffet opened and guests filled their plates with delicious food! Cari, Alyssa, and Ty snuck out during dinner to capture some sunset photos and when they came back in, we went straight into cutting the cake from Cakes by Anna and grabbing some banana pudding! Our people of honor stood up and gave toasts to our couple while guests enjoyed their desserts. Alyssa and Ty both danced with their respective parents before Loud Lion, the DJ for the night, opened the dance floor and guests joined in on the PARTY. Towards the end of the reception, we took a break from all of the dancing to do Alyssa’s bouquet toss. Shortly afterward, we had guests line up outside for a sparkler send-off so that we could cheer on our newlyweds as they headed off to their honeymoon!

Something Spectacular

Alyssa and Ty had quite a few moments on their day that were just for them. Like we said earlier, during their first touch and personal vows you could feel the connection between the two of them. You would never know from some of the photos of that moment that they hadn’t seen one another prior to the photos. Doing a first touch and private vows allowed them to have a moment together away from all of the hustle and bustle leading up to the ceremony and get any jitters out by connecting with one another. We loved that they had this intentional time prior to the ceremony to be together because that is what the day was all about - the two of them!

Happily Ever After

It was truly such an honor to be a part of Alyssa and Ty's wedding day. We know the future is bright for them and we cannot wait to see what is in store for them. Congratulations again, Alyssa and Ty!
