How We Met
Amber knew of Mamarmos from a family member who used Marmaros’ services a few years ago. Once Amber was engaged, she knew that she too wanted to use Marmaros, so she reached out in January to see if we were available for her November wedding date. We were available so we hopped on a call to remind her of Marmaros’ services and to hear her plans for the wedding day. After that call, we had a November 2024 wedding on our calendar!
Love Story
The year was 2020, global lockdowns had pushed the two to make online dating profiles. Dylan decided to upload a picture of himself with a raccoon to set himself apart from other people. The raccoon worked. Amber never met the raccoon in the picture with Dylan, but Amber agreed to meet with Dylan at a sushi bar for their first date. They talked for hours in that restaurant. 4 years, 3 cats, 2 family vacations, and 1 house later, they still talk for hours.
Down to Business
We got straight to planning with Amber and Dylan! We held virtual meetings to best-fit everyone’s schedules. Sometimes our meetings included Amber’s family and other times we just met with Amber and Dylan, but every meeting was always so productive! Prior to wedding day, we met up at their venue, the Cornelia Community House for a rehearsal. Amber and Dylan's loved ones were all there and we practiced the walking order for ceremony. After we nailed the practice, we went over a few details for the following day and then we were ready to go! Everyone was so excited that the next day was wedding day!
The Big Day
The hair and makeup team with Hello Beautiful by Noel kicked off wedding day with the ladies bright and early! They spent the morning getting beautified and hanging out at the venue, the Cornelia Community House. Meanwhile, down the street, the guys were hanging out and getting ready at Amber & Dylan’s house. Around lunchtime, vendors started to file in and start their setup. Amber & Dylan’s photographer, Alex of Alex Co Photography, got busy knocking out some pre-ceremony photos like detail and getting ready shots. The bridesmaids slipped into their dresses from Revelry and Amber got into her dress from Aisle and Veil. Once all ready, Amber headed outside to do a first look with her dad before knocking out some photos with her ladies. By this point in the day, the guys had arrived and stepped into their suits from BLK Tux, so we moved on to knocking out some photos of them while the girls took a break before the ceremony.
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful ceremony setting! Guests started to arrive and take their seats and you could sense the excitement in the air! We sent the family and wedding party down the aisle before Amber was escorted down by her father, Jason. Amber and Dylan’s friend Zach officiated the ceremony. We always love it when the officiant is a friend or family member of the couple because it always makes the ceremony even more personal and special! During the ceremony, Amber’s younger cousin read a poem for the couple which was also another special and memorable moment. At the end of the ceremony, they were pronounced husband and wife, and Amber and Dylan walked back down the aisle to the cheers and applause of their loved ones!
Guests were invited downstairs for a cocktail hour where they enjoyed drinks from The Georgian Mobile Bar and charcuterie from Amanda’s Farm to Fork. Amber & Dylan chose to have a fun activity for their guests to do during cocktail hour - a tattoo bar! They had a variety of temporary tattoos of their cats for their guests. This was such a fun way to include their fur babies without having them physically there on their wedding day. While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, we knocked out the group photos and Amber and Dylan went off for some couple photos.
Once photos were complete, guests were invited to find their seats for reception. The wedding party was introduced in groups followed by our couple prior to the first dance. After the first dance, we had the parent dances followed by a lovely welcome speech by Dylan. Guests then enjoyed some delicious food from Amanda’s Farm to Fork for dinner and grabbed a sweet treat from the dessert spread that Amber & her family had provided. We heard toasts from Amber and Dylan’s people of honor followed by a special dance to open up the dance floor - a dance with Amber and her sisters. The dance floor was officially opened and everyone enjoyed the tunes that One Night Entertainment was playing. At the end of the night, guests lined up with streamers to send the newlyweds off. You could tell Amber and Dylan are so loved and were celebrated so well on their big day!
Something Spectacular
When Mallory asked Amber if she and Dylan were thinking of having a specific getaway car, Amber knew exactly what she wanted! Amber knew that she wanted to use her grandfather’s vintage car for their getaway car. She also knew that she wanted to do a late-night photo session with the car towards the end of the night prior to sendoff. We love how Amber and Dylan used a getaway car that had a personal connection to them and how they took time to make sure that they captured this special part of their big day!
Happily Ever After
We are so happy for Amber and Dylan! We know the future is bright for them and we were just so honored to be a small part of their big day. Congratulations again!!
