How We Met

Anna & Mathew heard about us through their close friends Rebecca & Tim who were one of our Marmaros couples from October 2021. Rebecca & Tim had inquired before the pandemic hit and ended up hiring us when they moved their wedding day from May 2020 to October 2021! They passed our information on to Anna & Mathew who also had heard about us from their photographer, Kaitlyn Fellows, from Fellows Creative. At our discovery call, Anna said “as if I needed more of a reason to hire you guys, I have glowing recommendations coming from two sources!”

Love Story

We love hearing how our couples fell in love, especially when the story stretches back to high school days! Read how these two blossomed in their love over the last 13 years!

“Our story started in the least romantic way possible. On March 27, 2009, we were hanging out with friends who wouldn’t let us leave for the night without Mathew asking me to be his girlfriend. He finally caved!!

We went to different high schools, so throughout our time there, we went to more school dances and football games than I can count. We made so many friends who loved us both equally and always wanted to third wheel.

For college, Mat attended Georgia Southern University for 3 semesters before he joined me at UGA (Go Dawgs!) It was such a joy getting to experience college with the love of my life right by my side.

We now live in Charlotte and are having a blast exploring the Carolinas.

On Halloween 2020, Mat proposed during a chilly hike at Crowders Mountain, one of my favorite spots to escape to.

13 years later - we cook together, travel together, laugh together, learn together, walk Luna together, and dream together.

While it feels like we’ve been married forever, it’s so exciting to have finally made it official!”

Down to Business

Anna & Mathew are living their best lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, so all of our meetings took place over Google Meets. Mallory got to see them in October at Rebecca & Tim’s wedding but our first in-person meeting wasn’t until their walkthrough where we got to meet them in person along with both moms and a grandma! We could tell from that walkthrough that wedding day was going to be GREAT and a total party!

The Big Day

Wedding morning started bright and early for the ladies as Make Me Up arrived to start hair & makeup at their Airbnb. Fellows Creative arrived later that afternoon to begin detail photos and capture Anna getting into her dress. When we arrived at The Stave Room that afternoon, A Touch of Drapery was already getting the drapes set up for the ceremony and The Block Party Experience (our awesome band) was getting the lay of the land and started setting up their equipment. On Occasions of Atlanta brought in all the florals and decor and began setting up. Mathew and his groomsmen arrived and went to their awesome room located in American Spirit Works and started drinking their flights of whisky and relaxing. RIS Limo arrived at the venue to drop off the bridesmaids, moms, and our officiant. Once everyone was settled and the guys were pinned with their boutonnieres and started running with photos! We started with first looks before doing wedding party photos and all family photos. While we were knocking out photos Pro Sound Rental Atlanta arrived to set up the speakers for the ceremony & Endive Catering was starting to lay linens and get the reception space ready as much as possible. Kaitlyn knocked out all the photos (because she’s the very best) before we took the wedding party to the bridal suite to hide away while guests began to arrive.

Guests arrived and began signing the guest book and finding their seats while ATL Video Studio was putting the finishing touches on his camera set up. When everyone was seated, we lined up the family & bridal party and began the processional to get Anna & Mathew married! The ceremony was so touching and personal, which happens when you ask someone who has known both of you forever to marry you!

Once they were married, we went outside for some fun wedding party photos and sunset photos of Anna & Mathew before we snuck them into the bridal suite to eat their dinner in private. During the photos, we were helping Endive flip the ceremony space to be included with reception seating. The room was so transformed and so warm and inviting. We love giving a space a completely different look from the ceremony and using the area and making it unrecognizable!

Guests were asked to find their seats and we lined up the wedding party for introductions and each couple came up with choreography for their entrance - it was so cute! We announced Mr. & Mrs. Keller into the space for their first dance before we heard a welcome and a blessing from Anna’s dad. Endive’s buffet stations opened and guests were released to get the best catering food around! Since Anna & Mathew had already eaten, they walked around the room talking to their guests. We headed over to the cake table which really was a cookie table that had a stand with yummy chocolate chip cookies, cookie whoopie pies, and a tiered cookie cake - which is always our favorite on wedding day.

The last formal thing we needed to do was dance with the parents before opening the dance floor. The Block Party Experience really lit it up! Guests danced ALL NIGHT LONG and couldn’t stop raving about how fun the night was! Unfortunately, all fun must come to an end so we lined up all the guests for bubbles in the breezeway as our newlyweds ran through a tunnel of their closest friends and family before getting in the getaway car from RIS Limo. To say this night was extraordinary is a huge understatement!

Something Spectacular

Some of our favorite intimate moments on wedding days stem from first looks. Anna and Mathew's day was no different. Anna wanted to surprise her dad by sending his beautiful bride out before her since he hadn’t seen her dress (there were lots of tears - mostly from us). Then he got to see his little girl in her beautiful dress! We hid Anna away while getting Mathew set for their first look and when he saw her for the first time he got close to getting emotional! After that, it took him a few minutes to be able to look at her again so they read the vow notes they had written for each other. So sweet!

Raving Reviews

"Where to begin!!! Marmaros was incredible from start to finish. Megan is incredibly detail-oriented and organized. I was so calm on my wedding day because I knew they had everything under control. We hired them for month-of planning, but they did so much more than that. I could not recommend them enough."

Happily Ever After

Anna & Mathew’s wedding is one that we would relive over and over again! Not only were they so pleasurable to plan with, but their wedding day was so relaxed and fun! We know that these two will enjoy their time together in their next chapter. We wish them every happiness in marriage! Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Keller!
