How We Met
In 2021, we were in the process of helping Kristen & John plan their August wedding. In June, after Mike proposed, Elizabeth knew she wanted to hire a coordinator even if her venue provided one. Once they settled on Willow Falls Resort, they reached out to check our availability. Elizabeth & Mike were both in Kristen & John’s wedding party and got to see our work firsthand! We loved being able to get to know Elizabeth & Mike before we truly started working together!
Down to Business
Our first meeting took place a year and a day before Mike & Elizabeth would say “I Do.” We met at Little Rey in Atlanta for good tacos and to start talking details! The rest of our meetings took place over coffee and tea at Dancing Goats in Decatur where we would walk through our timeline and Elizabeth’s perfect checklists - making sure she had everything she needed to make her and Mike’s day perfect! On Friday night we rehearsed at the venue and everything went so smoothly since Willow Falls Resort has onsite cabins and most of the wedding party and family had arrived the night before! We think weddings that have onsite accommodations means the party keeps going beyond wedding day itself!
The Big Day
On the morning of the wedding, Make Me Up and Glam by Ruth arrived to begin hair and makeup! They had their work cut out for them with the large bridal party that Elizabeth had, but of course, there were no issues! Around noon, Tamara Cole with Hey Devan Photo and Kait Dee Media who was our videographer arrived and began getting detail shots and getting ready for the day! When we arrived, we went to check on the ladies and Elizabeth was about to step into her dress! We couldn’t wait to see how STUNNING she was going to be in her dress from Aisle & Veil! We went back to the venue to set up the very few things that Elizabeth and her ladies hadn’t already set up for us. This was great because that meant we got to spend the rest of the afternoon helping with photos and being an extra set of hands where needed! Elizabeth did a first look with her dad and then walked down toward the lake where Mike was waiting for her for their first look! After they saw each other, they exchanged personal vows and began taking photos together. We called the bridal party over for their photos too! Meanwhile, Scenic Event Solutions arrived and began setting up their equipment so we could party later, Catering by Cindy arrived to begin prep for dinner, and Bailey’s Bartending arrived to start icing down the beverages! Once all the photos were complete, we tucked Elizabeth, Mike, the wedding party, and their family away because guests were arriving!
The ceremony site was just beautiful! Ellijay Florist arrived earlier that morning to drop off the personal flowers and to get the arch set up for ceremony and it was just beautiful! The guests were mingling with friends until it was time to invite them to find a seat! We lined up the bridal party and family and started the processional! Elizabeth & Mike had a beautiful ceremony filled with personal stories and love! Their officiant, Carlos, did a wonderful job making sure Elizabeth & Mike’s relationship was reflected accurately! Once they kissed and were pronounced husband and wife, the crowd cheered! Mr. & Mrs. Peters were officially married!
The guests were invited outside for a cocktail hour while our newlyweds took photos with their family and we began flipping the room! It was a rather large task but we had many hands and it went quicker than we anticipated! The whole room looked completely different and we were so excited to watch Elizabeth & Mike’s vision for their reception come to life! When we were done, and the salads were set, guests were asked to find their seats in our newly decorated room!
We lined the bridal party up and began introductions before Elizabeth & Mike shared their first dance. We heard a welcome speech from Elizabeth’s dad and a blessing over the food by Carlos before the buffet was open and guests were released to the buffet. Elizabeth & Mike mingled after their dinner, greeting guests. We snuck away to cut the cake while guests were asked to grab a glass of champagne off the bar in preparation for toasts. Elizabeth & Mike sat on the couch below their neon sign as both their maid of honor & best man made toasts to their marriage. We danced with both sets of parents before it was time to open the dance floor and PARTY! And DJ Logan with Scenic Event Solutions really knew how to get a party started! The dance floor was full all night long and guests were enjoying the night both inside and outside as we left all the garage doors open and the party could be in multiple places! It was such a perfect night!
Something Spectacular
One thing we LOVED about Elizabeth & Mike’s wedding was their send-off! Guests were given bubbles but we were given bubble guns to really throw out some bubbles. They ran through the guests a few times before heading to the tricked-out golf cart that their wedding party made special just for them! Such a fun way to send off our newlyweds before they went to party more at the cabin!
Raving Reviews
"I cannot thoroughly put into words how amazing Megan and the team at Marmaros Productions are. From day one of my wedding planning journey I knew I wanted to work with Megan(she came highly recommended from a previous bride) and I was so happy I did. Megan was extremely attentive and helpful during my engagement, but she blew me away on the wedding day. Megan and her team were on top of everything, they were encouraging, helpful and truly made me feel cared for. I did not have to worry about a single thing with Marmaros in charge! I absolutely love Megan and her team and will forever be grateful for the impact they made on me during my wedding planning process and my wedding day."
Happily Ever After
We were so happy when Elizabeth & Mike reached out to us before Kristen & John’s wedding. but we were so ecstatic to help them have the best wedding day ever! Getting to know these two was truly a blessing and we loved working with them. We know they will be blessed in their marriage and we can’t wait to see where the future takes them! Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Peters!
