How We Met
Emily & Cole found us on WeddingWire in October of 2022 while shopping for wedding planners. After a discovery call and getting to know each other a bit, they decided to book with us! We started planning in the new year and had plenty of time for meetings before their wedding!
Love Story
Emily & Cole met when they were kids – their families lived near one another and they attended the same private school! They became friends and shared many life moments over the years. Over time, as they went their separate ways for college, Emily realized that each person she dated didn’t live up to the standard that Cole set. So they began dating in college and dated long-distance for years before becoming engaged two years ago!
Down to Business
Emily had a very specific vision for her wedding, and she brought her own organizational skills to the planning process. The first official meeting took place at one of the multiple walkthroughs of the venue to ensure that the vendors could make Emily’s dream vision come to life. When we asked her what her design inspiration was for the wedding, she said “the wedding in Crazy Rich Asians.”
The Big Day
Marmaros arrived to an already bustling venue! The team from BBJ La Tavola had already come to steam the linens and the TPC Sugarloaf team had already staged tables for the reception to get ready for the big room flip! The women were already looking glam thanks to hair & makeup by Miranda. Once finished in the glam chairs, Emily's girls stepped into their dresses from Bridals by Lori while Emily was zipped into her dress from Kleinfeld Bridal. Anik and her team from The Anik Collective were already hard at work playing with beautiful greenery to bring the “secret garden” theme to life. Anik built a custom framework to hold up the greenery and to ensure that the framework fit the specs of the building. While Anik & her team were raising the frameworks up, the beautiful photos from Heirloom Foto were already underway. Emily & Cole had a private first look, but we snuck a few photos through the glass.
Before we knew it, it was already time for the ceremony! Bella Musica Strings created beautiful music for the ceremony, similar to the style of the Vitamin String Quartet (it was giving gorgeous Bridgerton vibes). The ceremony was so personal to the couple, with the officiant tying in their shared history and giving nod to the fact that Cole had just graduated from medical school (PLOT TWIST: he started his residency just two days after the wedding). After a short but sweet ceremony, the guests were invited to the cocktail hour on the veranda, which featured a prickly pear cocktail starring the missing member of their family: their sweet pup Murphy! While the guests were kicking off the party, we were all hard at work to flip the room to bring the reception to life! The TPC team partnered with The Anik Collective to build a beautiful head table that featured gorgeous florals down the center – it was truly a gorgeous focal point. Each guest had a beautiful custom menu with their name and entree choice placed at their spot. After a successful flip, it was time to party!
To kick things off, we started the reception with the couple’s first dance and cutting the cake from Gabriel’s Bakery before a delicious coursed meal was served by TPC Sugarloaf. After the special dances, it was time to open the dance floor! DJ Chris from One Night Entertainment live mixed amazing songs to keep the dance floor open all night long. While folks were dancing, they also spent some time in the photo booth (we love a photo booth) from Button It Up. Then we wrapped up the night with a song request from the bride: Cotton Eyed Joe! The bride & groom left their day in style with a sparkler send-off and a vintage car from RIS Limo.
Something Spectacular
Emily & Cole created a custom bookshelf for their seating chart – each book had the names of the guest and their table number. AND the book was a keepsake box where some mementos from the wedding were tucked away inside! This went perfectly with the table numbers, which were called “Chapters” instead of tables!
They also incorporated beautiful custom monogrammed napkins in their head table design, which they will use in their new home. So Cole & Emily can know that some of their favorite people broke in the beautiful napkins first!
Happily Ever After
We always feel so fortunate to have the trust of our couples for their big day, and this is no exception. Thank you Emily & Cole and the best of wishes for a beautiful marriage!
