How We Met
We first heard from Georgia & Charlie in March. It was a quick turnaround to their wedding in November and they weren’t wasting any time! We sent the information to our package and Georgia didn’t even need a discovery call, they were ready to book! After reviewing the proposal and contract, we were booked and ready to jump into planning their wedding!
Love Story
Georgia and Charlie met at Oxford Fitness Kickboxing in Oxford, Mississippi. After a year of Georgia taking Charlie's classes, he finally asked her on their first date in 2018. Charlie graduated from Ole Miss and moved to California to pursue a Masters in Filmmaking. Georgia graduated from Ole Miss and went on to pursue a Masters in Accountancy. They moved to Atlanta in the fall of 2023.
Down to Business
Once we were booked, we jumped right into planning! We met on Google Hangouts since Georgia & Charlie weren’t local until a few months before their wedding! Between talking details, timelines, and floorplans, we grew close and we were waiting impatiently for their wedding! We finally got to meet at their 30-day walk through where we got to see the reception space, talk details, and get so ready for their wedding!
The Big Day
The wedding day started early at The Georgian Terrace Bridal Suite where Vigilante Makeup & Hair Artistry started working on the ladies. Meanwhile, The Flower Shop Atlanta arrived to start decorating the reception ballroom! As the ladies were finishing getting ready, Madeleine Beck Photography arrived and began getting detail photos as Georgia stepped into her dress from CheBella! Charlie was waiting patiently just outside the bridal suite to see his bride for the first time and we loved seeing the aftermath of their moment alone together! The bridal party was told to get ready and meet us in the ballroom where we were getting escort cards and tables ready for the evening. We got some photos of the bridal party, family, and photos of Georgia & Charlie together before it was time to load onto the bus from Charter Up and head to Peachtree Christian Church! Once we arrived at the church, we got the ladies settled in their room and the guys in their own as Maddie Beck got detail photos and the church prepared for guests to begin arriving. Since the church was in charge of the ceremony, we got to be an extra set of hands to help things go smoothly! When the buses pulled up, we welcomed the guests and invited them to find their seats so we could begin the ceremony! The family and bridal party got lined up and the music began as the sunlight was streaming through the gorgeous stained glass windows. Then, it was finally time for Georgia to make her grand entrance! We snuck up the stairs to watch the ceremony from the balcony and watch Georgia & Charlie say “I Do”. It was so fun to be fully present in the ceremony!
After the ceremony, guests were escorted to the buses while the family and bridal party hung out in the chapel for more photos. Once all of us got back to the hotel, a raging cocktail hour was going on with all the guests along with Georgia & Charlie! Soon it was time to begin the reception, so we asked guests to find their seats so we could get our newlyweds ready for their introduction. The Atlanta Wedding Band played them in and Georgia & Charlie went straight into their first dance before we heard from Georgia’s father for a welcome and a blessing. Next, The Georgian Terrace started dinner service to the guests.
Once guests were full and Georgia & Charlie mingled for a bit, we secretly cut the cake from Cake Hag, heard toasts from the maid of honor and best man, before Georgia & Charlie danced with their parents. Then it was time for Atlanta Wedding Band to do what they do best and get everyone on the dance floor! This group danced and partied all night! There was one more entertainment aspect to the night and that was Chickadee Photo Booth who brought so much fun to the reception! Unfortunately, the night had to come to a close and it was time for the last song. The guests made their way out to the steps of the hotel for a rose petal send-off! Such a beautiful end to a perfect night.
Something Spectacular
After the rose petal send-off, we weren’t done for the night! Guests were invited to the basement of The Georgian Terrace to the restaurant called Edgar’s Proof & Provision for more drinks and late-night snacks! This was such a fun idea since so many guests were staying at the hotel and definitely weren’t ready to end the night!!
Raving Reviews
"Love these gals! I used Marmaros as my “day of coordinators.” We had several meetings throughout the year and they kept me on top of the planning. I planned it and on wedding day they ran the show. They made the timeline and communicated it to the vendors. They helped with the seating chart and floor plan. They instructed vendors, fed vendors, set up and cleaned up the ballroom. Probably did more that I did not notice because I was able to relax and have fun! They even took pictures and videos! The day went off without a hitch. I wish I had hired them for the welcome party event we had on Friday night too. Many venues require you to have a planner or day of coordinator and Marmaros is the best!”
Happily Ever After
We loved working with Georgia & Charlie! They were so sweet we loved their fun-loving spirits. They kept their cool through some road bumps - which made us love them even more. We know their love is deeply rooted and we cannot wait to see where the future takes them! Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Allen!
