How We Met
Tina, Grace’s mom, reached out to us on Wedding Wire in July stating they were looking for a coordinator. We got on the phone to see if we would be a good fit for each other and soon after, we had our first ever Halloween Wedding! We were so excited for Grace & Nick’s wedding!
Down to Business
All of our meetings were held over the phone but that didn’t stop us from being productive! We went over the timeline and created a floor plan by looking at photos and visualizing where everything might be placed. On the afternoon of the rehearsal, we arrived early to help set up the reception space (and we finally got to meet Grace & Nick)! A special part of Grace and Nick’s big day was their decor. Grace’s mom really knows how to decorate and completely transformed the reception area with a lot of handmade (and slightly spooky) decorations. We were obsessed with the unique pumpkin centerpieces that she created!
The Big Day
Since most of the set up that we did at Indian Springs State Park was done the day before, we arrived around noon to check in on Grace and her girls who were getting ready with Emmalee & Paige from The Blush while Jumara from Jew.mar.rah Photography & Media was working on some detail shots. Soon, Grace would step into her dress and go see Nick for the first time! We went over to the reception area to put the final touches on the room and set up the ceremony space. DJ Dusty from C&M Music Factory was already there setting up his equipment and getting ready for the day. We moved the arbor into place, laid the runner, and set up the rugs so Grace’s dress didn’t get covered in pine needles. The view of the water really blew us away and it was an absolutely gorgeous day outside! It was going to be such a stunning ceremony!
Guests began to arrive and took their seats down by the lake. We lined up to begin the processional lead by the moms and Buddy (Grace & Nick’s sweet pup), the cutest sign holder ever! The ceremony was so sweet and perfect for Grace & Nick!
After the ceremony, the guests were invited up to the patio and reception area to enjoy drinks and hor d'oeuvres. While guests were enjoying the appetizers, Grace and Nick were down by the water taking pictures together. Although they wrapped up photos before the cocktail hour was finished, Grace and Nick decided to stay seated on a bench by the water to enjoy some time together just the two of them. Once it was time, we led Grace and Nick to the reception area where they shared their first dance together followed by the dances with their parents. A welcome toast was shared and then guests were invited to enjoy the delicious food by The Butcher Shop. Grace and Nick had a smaller guest count, so they were able to spend plenty of time congregating with their guests after finishing their dinner. Before toasts, Grace and Nick cut the two cakes that were made by Bohemian Bakery. They had a beautiful bridal cake and a colorful groom's cake, and both were enjoyed by all! The dance floor opened up and everyone enjoyed dancing the night away!
Something Spectacular
We have seen couples get more and more creative over the years in order to make their day super personal. Grace and Nick were no exception to this. Grace and Nick performed a unity ceremony, but theirs was the most unique we have seen yet. They had a personalized wooden barrel that they combined spirits in and created their own unique whiskey. After combining the whiskey, they even took their first shot of it together - how fun!
Happily Ever After
Grace & Nick are such a perfect match for each other and we so enjoyed being able to be there for their wedding day. They brought so much of their personalities to their wedding! We can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings them! Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Krohn!
