How We Met

Jade and Megan met in college at Kennesaw State University through a campus ministry, Cru. Megan was a senior and Jade was a freshman and Megan was part of the events and social coordinating team with Cru. They immediately had a connection and Jade joined the Bible study Megan was leading and eventually took over the event and social coordination team after Megan left! They kept in touch over the years occasionally getting together either over frozen yogurt or at Megan’s annual Christmas party. Megan and Jade were even connected at Callie & Nathaniel’s wedding where Jade was the maid of honor and gave Callie our information! When the day came for Micah to pop the question, Jade texted Megan in excitement! We were so happy for Jade & Micah as they began wedding planning as it gave us a chance to hang out more!

Love Story

We love when stories collide. God stepped into Jade & Micah's stories and brought them together in the most beautiful way. Read their journey below:

"Although both of us moved to North Atlanta in the Fall of 2015, it wasn't until September of 2018 that our paths finally crossed. It was a Tuesday night at First Baptist Woodstock and the College and Young Adults Ministry was playing our typical post-worship volleyball game. It was a simply introduction of names and nothing more until Ethan invited Jade over for a game night at Caleb's house. Our story officially began on November 10, 2018, and we have spent the better part of our 2.5 years in a long-distance relationship. God finally moved us closer when Jade accepted a job in Atlanta, and Micah took that as a great opportunity to pop the question. He proposed on top of Arabia Mountain at Sunset on February 20, 2021!

What a privilege it is to get to witness God's sovereignty throughout our relationship. We could not be more excited to be each other's forever!"

Down to Business

Meetings with Jade included way more than wedding details as we got to catch up on life and it started to feel like the good old college days again! We always found good new restaurants to eat at as we walked through logistics or moments in our lives. We went to do a venue tour with Jade and her family to get familiar with the different spaces for the wedding. We fell in love with Splendor Mountain and Chevin the venue owner! Getting ready for this wedding day felt like a wonderful adventure!

The Big Day

When we arrived to Splendor Mountain on wedding day, we made our way to the cabin where the girls were getting ready as Amber was finishing Jade’s makeup and all the ladies were relaxing in their adorable robes! We met up with Jade’s mom who was putting the finishing touches on some of the signs Jade had set out. Once we were caught up on all the ongoings of the wedding, we finished setting up the tables on the porch before heading over to set up the ceremony site. Jade set up all the decor in the bungalow so we could keep her vision of the wedding day the same way she saw it in her head. Jade knew exactly what she wanted for many parts of her wedding day which led her to become her own florist and make all the bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony decor, and tablescapes! This made us get as close to her vision as possible!

Caleb arrived to get a feel for the venue before setting up all his DJ equipment in the field for the ceremony. Soon, all the ladies came to the bungalow where Chaise from The Tinsley Co. & Alex from @Alex Shrimsher were working on getting the detail shots done. After some getting ready shots, Jade stepped into her dress and did a first look with her bridesmaids and her dad & brother. Jade and her bridesmaids got photos together as the groomsmen began to arrive to get ready for their set of photos. Before we put Jade away to rest until the ceremony, we went to get Micah so they could read their letters for their first touch. We love when couples don’t want to see each other but want to have a connection before they walk down the aisle!

In the meantime, Clayton Cafe arrived with all of the food and we began to set up and get ready for cocktail hour and reception inside the lodge. As guests began to arrive, they were invited to sign the guest book before entering the field to find their seats for the ceremony as we started to line up and begin the processional. Their ceremony was truly beautiful and so dedicated to the two of them. We loved being able to watch them become one! As they were leaving their ceremony, guests were given paper cones with leaves in them to toss on the newlyweds!

After the ceremony, guests were invited to the lodge porch for social hour while we captured family, bridal party, and couple photos. While guests were making their way down, there was so much love between the families, the bridal party, and Jade & Micah as everyone was so happy! We made our way down to the lodge to make sure the reception space was ready to go and we began setting out the salad at each place setting to give the guests something to eat while they waited for their turn to go through the buffet. Many hands made light work as Nathaniel and Daniel went to the ceremony site to collect all the vases and move them by the fireplace and the bridesmaids helped us deliver salads to each table. Soon we were able to let the guests into the reception space to find their seats before introducing the bridal party and Jade & Micah into the lodge. Jade’s dad gave a very beautiful welcome speech and Jade’s brother led us in prayer over the food before we opened the buffet.

Jade & Micah ate some food before we whisked them away for some sunset photos around Splendor Mountain’s beautiful property! Chaise & @Alex really captured some swoon-worthy moments! When they returned, we cut the cake that had a topper that Jade drew and a family member 3-D printed which was such a unique addition! We heard toasts from the best man and matron of honor before the first dance & parent dances opened up the dance floor!

Guests enjoyed the cake and homemade desserts from the dessert table before we lined up for a sparkler send-off! Jade & Micah rode off down the gravel road into their forever!

Something Spectacular

Jade & Micah wanted a unique unity ceremony for their wedding ceremony. They came up with an idea to join themselves together and to Christ through a triangle! They made a plaque with their names and dates they came to the Lord that had a triangle that was missing the bottom connection. Both their fathers joined in on the ceremony by explaining the importance of the plaque and reading a bible verse. At the end, Jade & Micah completed the triangle by adding the bottom connection and coming together as one with Christ!

Happily Ever After

Jade & Micah had a beautiful wedding that was surrounded by love and so many great people. Working with this couple was so fun and reconnecting with Jade was truly a blessing! We know that they will do great things in their marriage as they follow each other’s dreams and work to continue to follow Christ. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Corbett!
