How We Met

Debbie, Reece’s mother, heard of Marmaros through a mutual friend. Once they were in the thick of planning Kayla and Reece’s wedding day, Debbie reached out to Megan and Mallory to see if Marmaros was available for their date and for the details of all the things that Marmaros does on a wedding day. After a call and some careful deliberation, we had a signed contract in hand and another October 2024 wedding on the calendar. We were thrilled!

Down to Business

Since Kayla and Reece are very busy in their careers, Reece’s mom Debbie was helping a lot with the logistics of wedding day to help take the load off of them. To ensure we were all on the same page, we made sure to meet in person. For our first meeting, we all met up at a Chick-fil-a in Woodstock to discuss vendors and start a timeline for wedding day before driving over to the clubhouse at South on Main where the wedding was going to be. We walked around and took pictures of the clubhouse which was super helpful for future planning! After that first meeting, we continued to meet in person with Kayla, Reece, Debbie, and Reece’s dad, Tom. These meetings were always filled with lots of discussion, questions, and homework. By the time rehearsal rolled around, we were just so ready for the wedding day to be here! We did a quick practice of the ceremony, so that everyone would feel comfortable the following day, then sent Kayla, Reece, and their families downstairs to enjoy the rehearsal dinner.

The Big Day

It was finally wedding day for Kayla and Reece! They had a later start to the day, which was exactly what they wanted. Reece and some of his guys went to downtown Woodstock for a haircut and bread trim while Kayla and the ladies were being beautified by A Glamour Affair at Fairfield Inn. The Marmaros team arrived and got busy just helping in whatever was needed, since most of the reception space was set up the night before. Brooke, their photographer with Rivet Events, arrived and got to work capturing photos of Kayla’s dress and some getting ready photos. Kayla stepped into her beautiful dress and headed outside to knock out some photos with her family. After those photos wrapped up, we led Reece over to where Kayla was (with his eyes closed) to set up for their first touch. The couple got to hold hands, exchange cards, and say a few words to one another without spoiling seeing one another for the first time. This was perfect because they were able to release some nerves that they were feeling, but also got to keep the surprise of the first look being when walking down the aisle! Guests started to arrive and take their seats under the large tree for the ceremony. We sent Kayla and Reece’s officiant, Blake, down the aisle to make an announcement about it being an unplugged ceremony, then sent the parents down the aisle to take their seats. Reece was escorted by both of his parents before taking his spot at the altar. Next, we sent the flower girls down the aisle to prep everyone for the bride coming! Can’t Help Falling in Love started to play and Kayla and her dad, Freddy, started the long walk to the ceremony spot and down the aisle. Since this was taking place in a neighborhood commonplace, neighbors respectfully applauded when Kayla passed them on the sidewalk, which was so fun! Blake had known Reece and his family for a very long time, so he led a personal and meaningful ceremony. Kayla and Reece were pronounced husband and wife and recessed down the aisle to the cheers of their loved ones and the tunes of You Are The Best Thing.

Guests were invited to a cocktail hour on the front porch while Brooke knocked out family photos and couple portraits. Everyone loved all of the appetizers that Reece’s parents' neighbor, Matt Albertio, provided and the drinks that Posh Event Staffing was serving! Once we had wrapped up sunset photos, guests were invited inside to find their seats for reception. Reception began with a recognition of the parents followed by the introduction of our newlyweds - Mr. & Mrs. Taylor! Kayla and Reece then took to the dance floor to share their first dance to Baby I’m Yours followed by a welcome speech by Reece’s parents and a blessing by Blake. We sent everyone to get food provided by Matt Albertio and everyone dined and mingled for a bit. Kayla and Reece made their way over to their cake from Publix for a cake cutting. They refilled their drinks and headed back to their sweetheart table to listen to the heartwarming toast that was given by Kayla’s parents, Freddy and Stephanie. After the toast, Kayla joined her dad on the dance floor for their father-daughter dance, which was followed by a mother-son dance between Reece and Debbie. Reece and Debbie stopped their mother-son dance in the middle of the song and had a fun remix playing in order to get people to join the dance floor! We loved this way of getting guests to start the party! Guests enjoyed dancing the night away to the tunes that D Street Entertainment was playing, and at the end of the night they enjoyed one last dance to Hey Ya before making their way outside so that Kayla and Reece could have one last private dance together. After dancing to Until I Found You, Kayla and Reece made their way outside to run through a sea of bubbles and hop into their getaway car from May's Limo and head off to their honeymoon!

Something Spectacular

It is always tough when you can't have all your loved ones there on a wedding day. A special way to honor the loved ones who passed on before wedding day is doing an "In Memory" table. We've seen this done before, but something we loved about this element at Kayla and Reece's wedding day is that they added the fur babies that had passed prior. We also loved how Kayla and Reece included signage on this table for guests to know the relationships to the couple of the people and pets in the photos. Although these loved ones couldn't physically be there for Kayla and Reece on their wedding day, we know that they were there in spirit!

Happily Ever After

It was such a pleasure getting to work so closely with Kayla and Reece and their families! We could not be happier for these two and know that bright things are ahead for them. Congratulations again Kayla and Reece!
