How We Met

We first heard from Kristin and Caleb in early March of 2020 as they were looking for a coordinator for their February wedding. They grew up in Tennessee and love Chattanooga but were living in San Antonio, Texas at the time. They saw our names on the preferred vendor list at Howe Farms and reached out to us! Knowing that they needed the help, they signed our contract and we were ready to begin working!

Love Story

Reading how our couples started dating and fell in love is one of our favorite parts of the wedding process! Read Kristin & Caleb's love story through Kristin's eyes:

"Caleb and I grew up in the same hometown of Milan, TN from elementary school through high school. Living in such a small town we knew of each other, but it was not until after high school that our story really began. Caleb and I both attended college at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga from 2015-2019. During this time, we had many mutual friends and would hang out all the time since freshman year of college. It was not until he started to go to the library with me that I realized he liked me. It wasn’t long before our friendly study sessions became weekly Mexican restaurant and Ice Cream Show dates in Chattanooga. In March 2017 Caleb went with me as my date to my sorority's Alpha Gamma Delta formal and the rest has been history.

Caleb and I moved to San Antonio, TX at the end of December 2019 because I had accepted my first big girl job as a Certified Child Life Specialist at the Children's Hospital of San Antonio. Our childhood friend Allision was planning a trip to visit Caleb and me in February. Little did I know Caleb and Allison had been planning a proposal the ENTIRE time. Caleb and I had talked about getting married, but he always convinced me it would be another six months. The day before the proposal we planned to get our nails done and go to Brunch/Riverwalk the next day. Initially, Caleb had a plan of where he wanted to propose to me at but of course, plans change, and I was starting to ask a lot of questions about where we were walking. Finally, after a couple of detours, Allison and Caleb were texting one another and found a spot. Allison asked to take a picture because she thought it was a cute spot then said, "Hey Caleb, y'all should get a picture here the lighting is great!" Once we began taking pictures, I could feel Caleb really posing and getting really into the pictures (he was snapping pics with the ring where I could not see it). Once he began to talk tears started flowing because I knew it was happening. I am SO glad my friends were able to fly down and be a part of such a special surprise! Also, we cannot forget about our sweet pup Cypress Bean who we adopted during our year of being Texans and made us dog parents! Caleb and I lived there for a year and then the opportunity came up for me to work at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital as a Certified Child Life Specialist in Memphis, TN. We officially packed up our bags and moved back to TN in December 2020! We are thrilled to be living our newlywed life back in the state where all our close friends and family are."

Down to Business

Since Kristin & Caleb started off their planning process in Texas and in the middle of the pandemic, all of our meetings were virtual - which was totally fine with us! We met between Kristin’s shifts at the Hospital and our busy fall wedding schedule. In November, Kristin got offered her 2nd dream job back in her hometown of Memphis, TN. This moved the couple back to Tennessee! We continued to meet virtually because Memphis is still far from Atlanta. In January, we finally got to meet Kristin & Caleb in person and they got to see the Highlands Chapel for the first time! We were 30 days out & everything was so much falling into place! The week of the wedding we had a few hiccups with the weather and suits but even with all that stress - Kristin and Caleb arrived at the beautiful Highlands Chapel on Friday for rehearsal with big smiles and ready to get married!

The Big Day

We love working at Howe Farms because they provide tablecloths and access to their decor room which makes decorating for the wedding so easy! When we arrived, we went upstairs to say hello to Kristin and her ladies while Shelby Nicole and her hair and makeup team was working their magic. Once we decided what we wanted the tables to look like, we started moving the decor downstairs and setting up the reception. Flowers by Tami arrived to deliver the bouquets and boutonnieres before hanging the flowers on the Highlands Chapel cross. We began taping the floor for the bridal party to stand to ensure everyone was spaced out and had their spots! Catherine & Carrington from Catherine Cansler Photography arrived to introduce herself to everyone before beginning detail shots and getting ready photos. Not long after, we asked the bridesmaids to put on their dresses and told Kristin it was time to step into her dress!

It was time for two first looks - one with the bridesmaids and one with dad. In the meantime, Caleb and his groomsmen arrived and went to their room while Kristin and her bridesmaids began getting photos together. Since they didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, we were very careful to make sure they didn’t! After all the group shots were done, we lined everyone up and began the ceremony! DJ Terry set up on Friday but came back early in the day on Saturday to make sure everything was ready to go for the ceremony and reception and began playing music while the guests arrived. It was so easy getting this large group down the aisle (they were all bridal party pros), then we shut the beautiful doors and got Kristin ready to glide down the aisle! The ceremony was so perfect and we loved how happy they were just to get married after all this time! Craig Woods did a great job officiating their ceremony!

The guests were invited down to the reception area for appetizers from Charlies BBQ and drinks from Bar Cart while Kristin and Caleb got photos with their family and bridal party before Catherine took the two off on their own. The golden hour at Howe Farms was absolutely spectacular as they were getting their couple portraits.

When it was time for Kristin & Caleb to make their grand entrance, they were announced as Mr. & Mrs. Pittman before Kristin’s dad did a welcome and a blessing and guests were invited to the buffet. Once everyone had eaten, we cut the cake from Publix before Kristin & Caleb did their first dance and we opened the dance floor! This group partied ALL NIGHT LONG which DJ Terry kept going with great songs and mixes! A little while later, we did a fake send off with the bridal party and family before going back into the reception space to party some more!

Something Spectacular

After Kristin and her girls and Caleb and his guys were done taking photos, Kristin and Caleb did a First Touch in the stairway of the bridal suite! We love this addition to wedding day because everything begins to feel real! Kristin & Caleb read each other’s letters and held hands - building emotion and butterflies for the ceremony! Such a sweet moment!

Raving Reviews

"They are truly the best and made my wedding day the most perfect day. I was planning a destination wedding, dealing with the pandemic throughout my engagement, and a cross-country move from TX to TN. Megan was always responsive/flexible with my hospital work schedule, helped me with any tasks, and always there to calm my nerves. On my wedding day, I did not have to worry/stress about anything because Megan and Mallory were there to make the day go smoothly. Not to mention my friends and family loved them too! 10/10 recommend these gals for all your wedding planning needs! After our first meeting with Megan my *now* husband was even excited about her and how much of a help she was. We truly could not have had the most perfect wedding weekend without the Marmaros team!"

Happily Ever After

Working with Kristin & Caleb was so fun and easy. These two were so communicative and they feel like friends we will keep in touch with for a long time. We loved being a part of their wedding and we can’t wait to see what the future holds! Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Pittman!
