Down to Business
Laura and Tony’s journey with Marmaros started with Megan who helped them search for the best vendors for their wedding day. Once Megan learned that she would be on maternity leave on Laura & Tony’s wedding day, Mallory jumped in on the planning process. We frequently met virtually where we would have both Laura and Tony discussing all of the details of their wedding day. We love when a groom gets involved in the planning period! Right before Thanksgiving, we finally got to meet Laura in person when we headed to Bishop Station for a walkthrough! By that point, we were so ready for 2022 to be over and for it to be wedding day already!
The Big Day
Laura and Tony’s wedding day started bright and early at the Hilton Canopy where the ladies were getting their hair and makeup done by Make Me Up. We headed straight to Bishop Station so that we could start to get the venue prepped and set up before the wedding party even stepped foot inside! The team with Bantam and Bloom got straight to work by adding dreamy greenery to the chandeliers and by creating the most stunning ground arch. Jay with One Night Entertainment loaded in and started setting up their designer industrial DJ booth. The wedding party arrived and headed downstairs to hang out in their respective suites. When Laura arrived in her dress from Glamour Closet we were all awestruck - we knew Tony would be absolutely speechless when he got to see his bride for the first time! Tony got all set up in the courtyard and was told to keep his eyes closed (and not sneak a peek) while we snuck Laura out and got her all set up for their first look. We love getting the chance to take a backseat and watch the masters at work, and we got to do this when Lizzie with Lizzie Baker Photography and Ben with Selfless Films started to knock out the group photos and couple portraits!
The time had arrived when guests started to arrive and excitement was filling the air! Laura & Tony’s friend, Ari, led a fun and personal ceremony and before we knew it they were pronounced husband and wife! After the ceremony, we invited guests downstairs for a cocktail hour to enjoy tasty hor d'oeuvres from Bold Catering. Meanwhile, upstairs all of the vendors were hard at work flipping the room and completely transforming the space! One of the coolest parts of the room flip was seeing the ground arch get broken up and repurposed to create the most stunning head table! The newlyweds took a moment to themselves so they could take in and process their ceremony before they went and actually joined their guests at cocktail hour!
Before we could kick off the reception, Laura stepped into her sparkly reception dress from TWM Sample Shoppe and pulled her hair up. Jay introduced Laura and Tony as newlyweds before we watched their first dance and heard a lovely speech from both of them. It was time for dinner and we knew the guests were in for a treat with what we saw Bold preparing earlier! After devouring their dinners, Laura and Tony cut their cake by Syndesi and poured champagne over their champagne tower! They grabbed a couple of coupes of champagne and headed back to their table to hear toasts from their loved ones. Once the dance floor opened up, it was lively all night long! This group was so ready for a party and Jay was ready to bring the party to them! At the end of the night, we lined everyone up outside to toss petals on our newlyweds. As Laura and Tony scooped up Benji (their pup) and headed off for the night, all we could think about was how incredible their wedding day was!
Something Spectacular
Laura had a vision for the wedding day and it was so spectacular to see how everything came to life. Whether it was through things she made herself, like the escort cards/thank you notes or something a vendor brought in all of the details of Laura and Tony’s wedding day left us speechless. The way Bantam and Bloom took Laura’s vision and made it come to life was incredible in and of itself, but then to see how those same floral pieces completely transformed into dreamy reception florals was incredible. In the months leading up to wedding day, we always love to hear the decor plans and details of wedding day, but seeing everything take shape on wedding day is an awestruck moment that we will never grow old of!
Raving Reviews
"Most times, you hear people tell you wedding planning is so stressful and especially the days and weeks leading up to it. That was the total opposite of my experience. We had booked with Marmaros about a year prior to our wedding date and worked with Megan with the initial planning and vendor selection. She was amazing to work with by providing suggestions and recommendations on which vendors she's worked with. Throughout the year, we had regular check-in's with the team and they were always a simple email/text/phone call away if I had any questions in between our check-in meetings. Weeks leading up to the wedding, we worked with Mallory on the execution piece of wedding planning and every meeting we had felt so seamless and easy. I think this is primarily due to the fact that the team utilizes tools and sheets that help planning so much more simple (as it should be!). When it came day of the wedding, it was incredibly stress free and smooth which allowed my husband and I to focus on what was happening in the moment and enjoy the day. Mallory and team executed the event to perfection - even down to the little details! If you're looking for a wedding coordinator or planner- highly recommend Marmaros!"
Happily Ever After
Laura and Tony were honestly such a joy to work with. These two have been through thick and thin together and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for them. We loved getting to be a part of their celebration and wish nothing but the best for the new Mr. & Mrs. Nguyen!
