Mimi & Austin

How We Met

Mimi sought out Marmaros immediately after getting engaged because Mimi & Sarah are co-workers AND friends! As Mimi has said on multiple occasions to Sarah: “I trust you with my life.” Through the years that Sarah & Mimi have worked together, Sarah’s husband Kyle has also befriended Austin! So Mimi felt it was only natural that Sarah help coordinate her wedding.

Love Story

Mimi & Austin met the good “old fashioned” way – at the office! Mimi & Austin worked on separate teams for a small startup and connected around work. They started dating and the rest is history!

Down to Business

Mimi and Sarah began working together on wedding planning right away. Mimi had not yet solidified all of her vendors, so we were able to provide guidance on what is most important to work through and get nailed down. Since Mimi & Sarah are also friends IRL, they used their meetings as excuses to spend time together, but they quickly realized that they didn’t get as much work done that way, so they pivoted to Zoom. A cool part about this wedding is that since Mimi & Sarah are also coworkers, they were already familiar with each other’s strengths– Sarah really spent time working through all of the smaller minute details so Mimi could focus on the big-picture vision, and how she wanted things to look.

The Big Day

Vendors were already rockin’ and rollin’ at Summerour Studio when the Marmaros team arrived. The Atlanta Party Rentals crew had already installed the stage and black & white checkered dance floor and the Blosm team was already building the floral installations. The Bold Catering team rolled in and got to work ensuring the floor plan was executed and tables were staged. Meanwhile, we welcomed the groomsmen and got them settled and hidden away before Mimi & her gals arrived with fresh glam from Rachel Harris Artistry and Ellis Paige Makeup! Mimi stepped into her stunning gown from Wedding Angels Bridal and was all ready to go for first look with her groom! Mimi and Austin had their first look, complete with private vows, which put both bride & groom at ease before guests began to arrive. Helaine photography and Aura + Endi videography knocked out most of the photos before the ceremony even began!

Catherine Evergreen began playing beautiful music for the ceremony – the inspiration was “Nancy Meyers film,” which was absolutely delivered on. After a beautiful ceremony, guests were invited to cocktail hour while Mimi and Austin snuck away for a private moment – their first moments as husband and wife! While guests munched on delicious snacks from Bold Catering, we got to work on the room flip to bring the reception to life. Bold Design provided beautiful linens in shades of pink, which perfectly complemented the colorful flowers from Blosm! The incredible RobotBooth got set up to welcome guests to a photo booth moment during the reception. After the first dance and a rousing speech from father of the bride, Peter, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner.

Then it was time to party! Mimi & Austin cut the delicious cake from Cake Envy before opening the dance floor with the special dances. Then Band X took the stage and got guests out on the dance floor. The star of the dance floor was absolutely the groom himself, who choreographed a dance to Shania Twain, did a few pull ups from the ceiling rails, and started a conga line! There was a mid-dance break to enjoy some popsicles from King of Pops before the last set of the night. Then it was time to go home on the shuttle from CharterUp!

Something Spectacular

Mimi’s parents special-ordered Italian pastries from a local Italian-owned market, E. 48th Street Market, to nod to Mimi’s Italian ancestry. As part of their cake cutting, Mimi & Austin fed one another cannoli's from the pastry spread!

Happily Ever After

Mimi and Austin are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. It was an absolute honor to be able to coordinate their big day and to walk alongside them during this season. Cheers to so many happy memories for Mr. & Mrs. Anderson!
