How We Met

Nancy & Edgar found us on The Knot and reached out to us on our website. We met up with them in our college town, Kennesaw, and to talk about what they were looking for we were a great match! Not too much later they were sending us back a contract and we were so excited for our first March wedding!

Love Story

We love hearing about our couple's love stories - especially when they stared in high school! Read about the beautiful thing these two created!

“Edgar and Nancy first crossed paths during a blood drive in the old gym at Osborne High School. While in the old gym, they have had a mutual friend and began debating if Edgar’s flip phone was red or pink, of course neither won. Edgar was called up next to donate blood and Nancy went off to her next block.

Edgar eventually got Nancy’s phone number and the first date took place two weeks later at the movies in Kennesaw. Once the movie was over, he waited for everyone to leave the theatre room, so they could be alone. Edgar asked Nancy to be his girlfriend and of course she accepted.

March 2009 - Two weeks into their relationship, Edgar and Nancy met each other’s parents for the first time.

May 2009 - After 3 months, Edgar told Nancy he loved her and of course she did as well (Our hearts can’t take it!)

Fast forward 10 years later, Edgar put months into designing the perfect ring for the perfect girl.

December 2018 - Edgar finally popped the question at Smyrna Village where they had spent all of their time together throughout the years. He got on one knee and asked if she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him and Nancy in tears said YESSS!!”

11 years to the month these two said "I DO" on the most perfect day!

Down to Business

Meetings with Nancy & Edgar were always productive! From something fun at Sweethut to coffee at Starbucks, they always came with a positive attitude as we talked details for their day! On the day of the walkthrough, we came up with a floor plan that complimented The Butterfly Pavilions space and accommodated all the guests! We did one final walk through the week of the wedding to drop off decor and discuss final details before the wedding day!

The Big Day

Nancy and Edgar decided to get married at a church and then hold their reception at The Butterfly Pavilion. Since the church had its own coordinator, we arrived at the venue in the afternoon to begin setting up! Robin, owner of the venue, and her team had the tables and chairs set up for us when we arrived. Nancy gave us all the greenery she had made along with the table runners & we brought the floating candle vases and table numbers from our inventory. We started laying out the tablescapes in accordance with Nancy’s vision - and boy did the venue start to come alive by complementing the wooden tables and natural floors! Soon, vendors started to arrive getting set up for the day.

Before we knew it, Nancy & Edgar had arrived in their vintage car looking stunning! We were so happy to see them married and ready to party! We let them breathe for a minute before starting photos in the field behind the venue. Guests started to trickle in and were welcomed to join in a cocktail hour accompanied with passed hor dourves. Once photos were complete, Nancy & Edgar got introduced as husband and wife before doing their first dance. If you look at the photos, you can really see how much they love each other!

Next, Nancy’s parents gave a welcome speech and a blessing before we opened the buffet for some delicious smelling food. After everyone was through the buffet, we cut the beautiful cake & heard some heartwarming and funny toasts from some of Nancy & Edgar’s favorite people.

Following dinner, the Parent Dances kicked off the party and dancing for the night. First, there was a sweet dance with Edgar’s mom. After the mother-son dance came the father-daughter dance which started off as any dance would, but then Nancy & her dad surprised everyone with a fun choreographed dance! The last formality we had to do for the night before the dance floor opened was the Money Dance! Let us tell you, everyone at the wedding wanted to dance with the Bride and Groom multiple times! Some guests even gave Edgar Shrek ears & a tail made out of dollar bills! Then it was time to party - and these friends didn’t disappoint! The dance floor was packed all night long, even after the fake send off (read more about that in Something Spectacular)!

Then the moment of the night we had been waiting for - the TACO BAR! Oh, it was soo good for a little mid-dancing snack! Nancy & Edgar knew their guests were going to stay to celebrate all night long, so we love how they decided to have a taco bar to close out the night - and their guests loved it too!

When the night was over, we called Nancy & Edgar an Uber and loaded up all their personal items in their families' cars and said goodbye!

Something Spectacular

Something we love that Nancy & Edgar did was a fake send-off so they could keep partying after the photographer left. They didn’t do it like normal. Instead of lining everyone up outside of the front doors, we went down to the Starlight Patio with just Nancy & Edgar’s family and bridal party. Nancy & Edgar did run through a tunnel of sparklers for the photographer before we had the family stand in a circle around the dancefloor under the string lights. We gave everyone another sparker and had Nancy & Edgar dance. How special is that?!

Raving Reviews

"I worked a lot with Megan and I felt comfortable because she made me feel very welcomed! She is willing to go an extra mile for you and will make sure you are on time for everything! They decorated everything and it came out beautifully! Thank you ladies so much!"

Happily Ever After

We loved getting to know Nancy & Edgar over the time of their engagement! Although they got married at the beginning of such an uncertain time, it is so clear how much they love each other since their love truly radiates! We are still reliving this day since we didn’t know it would be the last wedding we would get to do until for a few months due to the pandemic! We are so thankful for their flexibility & fun personalities throughout the planning! We can’t wait to see what this next chapter holds for them!
