Pamela & Jonathan

How We Met

We heard from Pamela & Jonathan in April of 2021. They reached out for a few reasons - one, because we are on the preferred list at their venue, Barn South but also because we did Jonathan’s brother’s wedding in 2020 (literally the day before the world shut down). Nancy & Edgar had good things to say about us so booking Pamela & Jonathan was so easy and simple!

Love Story

Down to Business

We loved working with Pamela! We would meet at coffee shops and restaurants in the Marietta Square and talk through details and ways to make her vision come to life including booking vendors she needed help with! Our meetings were always productive and fun as we got to know each other better in the year and a half before their wedding! Pamela & Jonathan even had their entire wedding party and family over to their house for a shrimp boil after we rehearsed, making their wedding week so special!

The Big Day

When we arrived on wedding day, Barn South was already buzzing with activity! Salon Capri & Bogart Beauty were in the bridal suite working on the girls getting them ready for the day and Lineage Florals was working hard on the ceremony arch. Eve Yarbrough Photography and Imagine VP were busy getting ready to start photo and video coverage. We started working on the tablescapes laying out the utensils and napkins and prepping for the flip!

When hair and makeup was completed, Pamela stepped into her dress from La Raine's Bridal and did a first look with her bridesmaids before doing a first look with Jonathan and starting to get photos knocked out the rest of the day. The rain even held off for us so we were able to get photos outside in between the spitting the sky was doing which was so nice! Bride Lights arrived to set up the marquee letters, ShakeUp ATL arrived to set up the bar, and Casa Sotres arrived and began to prep for dinner. Before we knew it, everyone was put away as guests began to arrive!

After the last shuttle from La Quinta Inn & Suites arrived, we started the processional and began the ceremony! We loved how sweet and meaningful the ceremony was, even complete with a written Spanish translation of what was being said so all guests could be included. Cody Jensen aka The Atlanta Wedding Pastor made their ceremony so personal to Pamela and Jonathan which we loved. After they were pronounced husband and wife, Pamela & Jonathan’s kids joined them and the recessed own the aisle and they got their first photo together as a married family!

Once the ceremony was finished, guests were invited outside for cocktail hour where an awesome band was playing and appetizers were being passed. We began to flip the room while family photos were being taken. When the flip was complete, guests began to find their seats and the bar was open for the remainder of cocktail hour! We moved on to introductions and our wedding party did not disappoint! They really came in and hyped everyone up before Pamela, Jonathan, and their children were introduced! Jonathan’s mom said a welcome and a blessing before dinner was served to all the guests.

After everyone had eaten dinner, Pamela & Jonathan shared their first dance before dancing with their parents. We did a champagne tower (which was so cute and so fun!), cut the cake from Lush Cakery, and heard toasts from all their favorite people. The last formal thing we needed to do was the money dance before opening the dance floor! ShutterBooth opened up their photo booth station and guests began taking photos and dancing the night away!

We lined up for a fake send-off with sparklers before the biggest surprise of the night - fireworks! We love how Pamela surprised EVERYONE including Jonathan and her children with a great fireworks show from Bride Lights! Guests were invited to eat tacos, take photos, and keep dancing for the rest of the night! We loved everything about Pamela & Jonathan’s wedding!

Something Spectacular

Something we LOVED about Pamela & Jonathan’s day is the fact that they did first looks with their children. Their son got to see Pamela in her dress for the first time which was so sweet to see and then Jonathan was surprised to see his beautiful daughter instead of his bride the first time they did the first look! Such a special moment for this family and memories that will be cherished forever!

Happily Ever After

We loved working with Pamela & Jonathan for their wedding day! So many sweet and special moments that we were so happy to share with them and their family. We know the future is so bright for this sweet family and we cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes them! Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Juarez!
