How We Met
Roxy & Daniel reached out to us in June - the night of Anna & Jonathan’s wedding at Three Birches. They had seen the setup stories that we put on Instagram that the venue had reshared, so they reached out since they were already planning on getting married at Three Birches. Roxy mentioned that she was an event planner but didn’t do weddings so she needed some help logistically to make sure the day would run smoothly and that someone would be there to set up the decor.
Love Story
We always ask our couples to write us their love story but we didn't have to ask Roxy & Daniel because the perfect telling of their story was on their wedding website - and they did it in such a fun way!
WHEN STALKING GOES RIGHT ROXY VS. DANNY
Roxy's Version: After going on a million blind dates set up by my friends. I met Daniel. Daniel reached out to me via Facebook to confirm if I was single and had some time to connect. Unfortunately, I was over blind dates and was not interested in going out with anyone ever! I was over dating and was definitely over going on random dates with strangers. Luckily my best friend Cherise did a deep Facebook investigation and said I should give it one more try because in her words "At least he has a job and looks real educated " well something along them lines. I still literally ignored Daniel. Mr. Persistent reached back out to me again after attending one of my charity events to raise money for the victims of Pulse. He was actually on a date with someone else! I think he just wanted to see me in person to be honest....I agreed to go on a date and it was the best decision I ever made!
Danny's Version: When you know what you want, you have to go for it! Truth be told, I didn't see a relationship happening - let alone a marriage - I just wanted her to go out on a date with me. If you ask her, she'll say I stalked her on FB for a while & then went to one of her events on a date with someone else. That's not totally true but not wrong either. I did end up at an event she was hosting with someone else, but it wasn't planned and I was too shy to say anything to her. So shortly after, I did reach out to her via FB and I didn't think too much of it - again, I just wanted to be able to say that I got her to go out with me. Little did I know that one date would turn into many. We're probably as different as two people can be, but I fell hard & fast. I knew early on I'd have to make her mine, so here we are. Cheers! - I won!
Down to Business
Meetings with Roxy & Daniel were always productive and fun! We met over the phone and on video calls (thanks COVID) to go over details, make floor plans, and timelines. Roxy would send over photos of how she wanted decor set up to make sure she had everything she needed and we knew how she wanted it! We were so impressed with all that Roxy had thought through and planned out!
The Big Day
We love Three Birches and how they give their couples the ability to book all buildings on the property for their entire wedding weekend - this allows us to set up the day before the wedding and doesn’t create as much stress for the couple to get out of the event space right after saying “I Do”. Roxy & Daniel were getting married at noon, so setting up the day before made the day much easier! We went on Friday to help Roxy set up the reception decor and let us tell you - Roxy really made that room come to life! Between black table cloths, wood chargers, and sunflowers, the room became so happy and ready for a party!
On Saturday, J.Thomas Artistry & Exclusive Uni-sex Salon arrived early in the morning to get all the ladies glammed up for the day. We arrived to set up the ceremony site with the sunflower wall and chairs while Jessica, the owner of Events that Sparkle, set up the balloon garland on the flower wall. While she was doing the final touches to the balloon garland, we were finishing up the reception area. After the ceremony and reception areas were fully set up, all we had to do was wait for DJ Queen Entertainment & Sweet Auburn BBQ to arrive and help set up fruit cups and drinks by the food truck!
A little before noon, we started collecting the bridal party and the moms' to begin the processional. When the ceremony began, Daniel saw Roxy for the first time and had the most joyous reaction! Roxy & Daniel exchanged their own vows (which is a touch we always love during a ceremony) & exchanged rings before heading off to take photos. We loved hanging around with Roxy & Daniel while they took their photos because we really got to see how their love is so strong and fun! During this time, guests were invited to find their seats which had a bag filled with goodies to make the reception completely covid safe. Guests went out to the food truck to get the apps that were individually boxed which made everything Covid Friendly!
Once photos were done, Roxy & Daniel were introduced and did their first dance before sitting down for more individual packaged lunch meals. Next, we cut the cake from Nothing Bunt Cakes and set out the individually boxed mini bunt cakes while speeches happened. Next, the dance floor was open and DJ Queen really lit up the dance floor! Roxy & her girls were out on the floor all afternoon and even Pops got out and broke it down!
At the end of the afternoon, we did not do a send-off, but we all went to go see the farm animals before the newlyweds hung out for the night in the house on-site with their closest friends.
Something Spectacular
Roxy & Daniel really wanted to make sure their family stayed safe during their wedding. They created welcome bags for every seat that included a fork and napkin for their cocktail hour food, a black face mask, a pen for the guest book, a personalized hand sanitizer, and a plastic champagne flute for the toasts! They also ordered fruit from Publix and cute pre-mixed cocktails from Bar Bee's Mobile Bartending so nothing was being touched by multiple people. This gave their guests peace of mind knowing that they were the only ones that touched the items that were for them. We loved this idea - Roxy really went above and beyond prepping these bags to ensure the safety of their guests!
Raving Reviews
"Absolutely the best wedding coordinating team ever! I literally had to do NOTHING! As an event planner myself I'm very hands-on and I literally did nothing but get dress and down the aisle lol! I highly recommend! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"
Happily Ever After
Getting to know Roxy & Daniel was one of the highlights of 2020! These two are so cute and fun and being a part of their day was truly an honor. We wish them every happiness as they enter this new chapter of marriage! Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Edwards!
