Sarah & Adam

1.14.2023 | Butterfly Pavilion

How We Met

In fall 2021, we heard from Sarah and Adam as they were looking for help with their winter wedding at The Butterfly Pavilion. Like many of our couples from this venue, they had heard of us through the venue’s list of suggested vendors. Once the winter holidays were over, we hopped on a call with Sarah and Adam to tell them all about Marmaros Productions. Shortly after that call, we had a signed contract and a January 2023 wedding on our calendar!

Love Story

This day has been a long time coming. We first met when we were both in eighth grade, where we first started our relationship because of a funny prank by a mutual friend. It was puppy love at best, but just as Sarah and I have changed a lot in the last 12 years, so too did our love. From going on Ghost walks in Downtown Buford, to a romantic carriage ride in Savannah, we have cherished every second of fun, being complete goof balls and now we want to start the next chapter of our lives.

Down to Business

Most of our meetings with Sarah and Adam took place at The Collection where we would enjoy yummy food and talk all about the wedding (and Disney)! In one of our first meetings with Sarah & Adam they mentioned that they will need to have a GF cake and were at a loss as to where to get one from. Mallory mentioned Nothing Bundt Cakes and how there was actually a location a few shops down from where we were eating dinner. We quickly wrapped up dinner to go over to Nothing Bundt Cakes to try it out and after one bite they were sold! After many more delicious meals, it was time for us to do a walkthrough of The Butterfly Pavilion to discuss the floor plan and go over all of the final details with the venue team. The next time we would be at the venue was for the rehearsal the night before which was such an exciting realization!

The Big Day

The day was finally here! It was Sarah and Adam’s wedding day! The ladies got to The Butterfly Pavilion to spend the morning hanging out together and getting their hair and makeup done by A Glamour Affair. Around lunchtime, we arrived along with Chris, their DJ with One Night Entertainment, and Ash & Miles, their photo and video team! Ash and Miles got to work capturing the detail photos as we went around the venue making sure that all of the decorations were set up to make Sarah and Adam’s winter wonderland dream a reality! Their decorator, Some Theme to Talk About, really made Sarah’s winter solstice theme come to life. Sarah stepped into her dress from David’s Bridal and headed towards the fireplace to do a sweet first look with her dad. We then moved on to the group photos with the guys and girls separated since Sarah & Adam chose to not do a first look with one another. The wedding party looked amazing in their dresses from David’s Bridal and suits from Jos A Bank! After the group shots wrapped up, we tucked everyone away in the respective suites to rest a little before it was time for the ceremony.

Once it was time for the ceremony to start, we got everyone lined up to start the processional. We were so excited to send Sarah down the aisle because we knew it would be the first time Sarah & Adam got to see one another on their long awaited wedding day! Their officiant, Tre, performed a quick ceremony that was personalized to them as a couple and before we knew it vows and rings had been exchanged and Sarah and Adam were husband and wife!

We kept the ceremony in the pavilion since January can get pretty nippy, so after the ceremony, guests were invited to a cocktail hour which included a hot cocoa bar! We quickly flipped the room and it was so neat to see how a room can be transformed and a bride’s vision comes to life! We took Sarah and Adam down to the field behind the pavilion to get some dreamy couple portraits before we wrapped up the remaining large group photos.

We invited the guests to find their seats so that we could get the reception started. Guests cheered on the newlyweds as they were introduced as husband and wife for the first time and then watched Sarah and Adam’s sweet first dance. Big Girl Catering was ready to open the buffet and let us tell you - this was a meal that Sarah and Adam had been anticipating for a long time! Every meeting we had they would go over the menu with such excitement! Next, we cut the yummy GF cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes - Sarah and Adam were in shock with this GF find and we know will be going back to the store even after the wedding is over. We heard speeches from Sarah and Adam’s loved ones and watched them dance with their parents before opening the dance floor. Chris had the dance floor energized all night long, but we couldn’t believe the level of enthusiasm this group got when he played the Pokemon theme song and some Fall Out Boy! It’s moments like this that remind us how important it is to have a DJ who can read the crowd and know you as a couple! Before we knew it, it was time for Sarah to throw her bouquet and for the newlyweds to run through the sparkler send off so that they could get on their way to their dream honeymoon - Disney World!

Something Spectacular

In one of our first meetings, Sarah and Adam let us know what their vision was for wedding day. They really wanted to have a wintery solstice feel for their wedding day. Whenever Mallory was thinking of their wedding day she would say "think of a cold and dreamy winter night under the stars". They did such a good job thinking through little ways that they could make this theme come to life - even past decor. They chose their menu to be foods and flavors that warm you up and make you feel so homey in the winter months. They also had a cocoa bar and smores available to their guests throughout the reception. Sarah and Adam had hints of constellations and stars throughout all of the details of the day - Sarah even put on a cape after ceremony that had the most stunning sparkling stars and moons on it! It was so fun to hear all about this vision that they had for their day and then to see it all come to life!

Happily Ever After

It was so fun getting to work with Sarah and Adam! We now know many more places to grab a bite to eat and we know that we have fellow Disney lovers in the Marmaros family. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for Sarah & Adam!
