How We Met
Sarah & Logan found us through their venue - Parkside Hall! As soon as we sat down together, we knew this was a match made in heaven. Sarah & Logan are Midwesterners through and through, so their kindness and friendliness was a huge part of why we all worked so well together. Also, Marmaros coordinator, Sarah, found out that their dog’s name is Kylo, like Kylo Ren from Star Wars, so she knew they would get on just fine.
Love Story
Sarah & Logan met while attending college in Illinois and have been together ever since. They both moved to Chattanooga when Logan got relocated for his job. That was a big adventure, but we bet marriage is a bigger one!
Down to Business
Logan & Sarah attended every single meeting together and were extremely involved in the planning process. Logan has been our most organized groom to date (according to our planner Sarah)! We helped them narrow down their vendors before working together to bring their entire vision to life. Sarah & Logan said they really wanted their entire event to be a big party to celebrate their love as well as spend quality time with their friends. Many folks traveled from Illinois to be present for the big day!
The Big Day
Marmaros Sarah (not to be confused with Bride Sarah) and her husband/assistant, Kyle, arrived at the venue to find Flowers by Tami setting up her gorgeous arrangements at the altar on top of custom-made columns by Marsh Made Designs. Sarah and her bridespeople were wrapping up getting glammed up with the help of Jessica’s Updos and Makeup by Leann. The groomsmen arrived and were hanging out in the courtyard of Parkside Hall (because it was the perfect day to be outside!). We got to work on ensuring that all of the little details were set up around the venue: the candles, the seating chart, the welcome sign, and the koozies for the bar! While we were getting everything finalized for guests to arrive, Hannah Photography captured the first look with the couple before they read their private vows to one another – and they were truly private. We kicked everyone out! Before we sent everyone down the aisle, the wedding party took a Fireball shot together to get the celebration started!
Then it was time to get this couple married! After a short but sweet ceremony (complete with a dramatic grand entrance, of course), we sent everyone off to cocktail hour while we flipped the room to make things reception-ready. Luma Designs came to install the iconic black and white checkered dance floor that was a must for Sarah. While we were getting things ready, the guests mingled and snacked on light bites from Food Works and got some cocktails, compliments of BarCart.
The reception was filled with tons of special moments for Sarah & Logan – starting with their food! The couple had a clear vision of serving pizza to their guests, complete with as much Mike’s Hot Honey as anyone could want. Before the guests dug into their favorite pies from Pizza Bros, Sarah and Logan had a pizza cutting in lieu of a cake cutting! After food, it was time to hit the dance floor with the soundtrack provided by their DJ from Island Sounds. Like we mentioned, Sarah & Logan wanted a party, and this crew brought the house down with no less than 4 hours of dancing!! At the end of the night, we got not one, but two sweet final moments. The remaining guests circled up shoulder to shoulder for the last song (“Exitlude” by The Killers) before the couple had a private last dance before heading out to their afterparty (yes, an afterparty following 4 hours of dancing!).
It was such a fun night, and we were so lucky to be a part of it!!
Something Spectacular
Sarah & Logan truly let their personalities shine through in their planning, but Sarah really got crafty and designed and made all of their wedding party’s t-shirts for the rehearsal dinner, the koozies for the wedding, and the table numbers!
Happily Ever After
Sarah & Logan - we are so honored to have been a part of your day. Thanks for treating us like family and welcoming us alongside your entire crew. We wish you both nothing but the best and beautiful marriage!
