Shanneill & Tan

5.4.2023 | Ashton Gardens

How We Met

Last summer, Shanneill & Tan reached out to us through the calendly link on our website! We were so excited they decided to book a discovery call to chat more about their wedding and to see some of our processes. We sent our pricing and made sure they reached out to Ashton Gardens to make sure we could work there since they had in-house coordinators. Once they got the green light, we had our video call and they were ready to book us! We were so excited to be heading to Ashton Gardens for the first time!

Down to Business

We love meeting over Google Meets, which was perfect for Shanneill & Tan! They had a baby and it was just easier to do a video call for our meetings. Which ended up being great for Megan as well once her baby came into the world and virtual was so much easier to meet! We would talk details and make sure the timeline aligned with what they were looking for on their day. We did a 30-day walkthrough in person where we got to see Ashton Gardens for the first time along with a floral meeting at Abby’s at the Cottage before wedding day was here!

The Big Day

On wedding day, we arrived and unloaded our personal things and the rentals Shanneill & Tan rented from us. Abby’s at the Cottage also was unloading and Espeute Productions’ photography crew was ready to start shooting as soon as the couple and their party arrived! We began setting up and getting the spaces ready for the day. Not long later, Shanneill and her ladies arrived all glammed up thanks to Hlee MOUA Artistry & Latisa! They were still in their robes but ready for a mimosa and getting ready shots! While the ladies were getting photos done, Tan & his groomspeople arrived dressed and ready for the day! Shanneill stepped into her dress in one room while her bridesmaids got into their dresses in the other room. We took the ladies outside to get ready for the first look with them. We love this little tradition of letting your ladies see you all put together and ready for the day - it’s so fun!

In the meantime, Espeute Productions’ DJ team arrived and began setting up their equipment and doing sound checks. We tucked Shanneill back in the bridal suite while Tan got his last getting-ready shots and solo photos before they shared a first look. It was so sweet to see them together with their wedding party reacting and getting emotional in the background! They got some photos together before it was time to put everyone away because guests were beginning to arrive!

Catherine Strings was playing beautiful music on her violin as guests found their seats. As the last guests got settled, we closed the doors and lined up the family and wedding party to start the processional! Tan and his parents led the way followed by their wedding party then their (ADORABLE) son in a wagon! He stole the show - which isn’t a surprise! Then, we opened the double doors and Shanneill and her parents entered. The ceremony was so sweet, led by their best man which was so personal and fun. Before we knew it, they were announced as husband and wife!

We did some bridal party photos and some more couples photos while guests enjoyed cocktail hour. When all the salads were set and the music was flowing, guests were invited into the reception space for dinner. The wedding party was introduced complete with a money gun with dollars flying everywhere! Such a fun entrance! Then, our beautiful couple had their grand moment coming down the staircase before they went into their first dance where sparks flew - literally! We heard a welcome from both Shanneill & Tan’s fathers. Dinner was plated and served thanks to Ashton Gardens so guests got to wait as their food came to them starting with a traditional Vietnamese soup followed by a steak and salmon plate.

Shanniell & Tan enjoyed their dinner and mingled with their guests before we pulled them for cake cutting! Confection Perfection delivered like they always do - the cake was amazing & the cupcakes were perfect! We heard some very heartwarming toasts from a few of Shanneill & Tan’s favorite people before we did parent dances and the dance floor opened!

Shanneill snuck away for a dress change where we did some more couple photos and took family photos in the chapel. Guests weren’t bored while they were gone though! Not only did Espeute Productions keep the party going, a photobooth was out in the lobby ready for photos, AND Gaston Street Eats arrives and was serving a late-night snack! It was finally time to call it a night, we lined up the guests and gave them sparklers to send Shanneill & Tan off in style! What a great wedding!

Something Spectacular

During their ceremony, their first act as a married couple was taking a shot. Not just any boring old shot, a ski shot! The ski had their name on it and wedding date. It was such a cute way to celebrate becoming husband and wife!

Happily Ever After

Working with Shanneill & Tan to plan their wedding was so much fun! We enjoyed getting to know them and their son, Mason, as we planned and talked. We know that the future is so bright for them and we know they will walk into this next chapter with happiness. Cheers to the newlyweds!
