Sydney & Patrick

10.14.2022 | The Stave Room

How We Met

Sydney & Patrick came to us last November as a referral from one of our wedding planner friends, Gloria Schulz! We connected on google hangouts after Thanksgiving and after talking for a while, we decided we would be a perfect fit and Sydney & Patrick booked us! We were so pumped to be going back to The Stave Room for an October Wedding!

Down to Business

Our meetings were so FUN! Working with Sydney & Patrick was so fun and productive. We started planning after Christmas and in the New Year we visited Bloomin Bouquets to talk about flowers and decor before doing an early walk-through of The Stave Room to see the space and get a feel for how we wanted to set up the floor plan. After that, all of our meetings happened virtually during Sydney’s breaks or after work. We loved being able to connect with these two anywhere they were or we were and keep planning their perfect day!

The Big Day

When the wedding day finally came, we were so excited! Sydney & her ladies got ready at an Airbnb nearby The Stave Room and Erin Ryser had them all ready to go by the time their photographer, Glorianna, with Glorious Moments and videographer, ALewis Films, arrived to begin capturing the day. Sydney slipped into her dress from Wedding Angels Bridal and she was truly one of the most stunning brides! Meanwhile, at the venue, Hi Note arrived early to begin creating the chalkboard design behind the bar, Bloomin Bouquets arrived to start installing florals, and Unique Events arrived to begin the drapery. By the time we arrived, everything was moving along very smoothly!

Sydney & Patrick did their first look at Rhodes Hall in Atlanta, just a few minutes from the venue. When they needed their flowers, we drove them over there and got to witness some of the magic Glorianna was creating! It was truly a nice surprise for us, but we had work to do! After making sure everyone had their flowers and we weren’t needed at Rhodes Hall any longer, we went back to The Stave Room to start helping transform the room! District Catering arrived and we had even more hands to help us get the room looking exactly like Sydney & Patrick’s vision.

Once all the photos were taken at Rhodes Hall, the wedding party hopped in the limo by May’s Limousine and came to the venue. Sydney’s father was tucked away and ready for the first look with his baby girl and Sydney’s mom had a special gift from the two of them ready to present to Sydney after they saw one another. It was so emotional to see how well these three loved each other and were truly happy for the best day ever. Next, we moved on to taking immediate family photos before tucking everyone away as we waited for guests to arrive!

Nice Entertainment played some beautiful pre-ceremony music as guests mingled, got a drink from ASW Distillery, and found their seats. It was finally time to line everyone up and begin the processional! Everyone was so nervous and excited but that’s why we had the "ring men" to break the tension and bring a smile and laugh to everyone’s faces right before Sydney walked down the aisle to Patrick! Their ceremony was SO beautiful, SO Christ-Centered, and full of joy, we even got choked up hearing about how they both picked the same moment where they knew they fell in love with the other without discussing it beforehand and hearing their personal vows to each other. They did a unity ceremony with a cross that symbolized their relationship together and through Christ before heading back to their ceremony spots to be pronounced husband and wife!

We tucked our dreamy newlywed couple away while guests made their way to the cocktail hour for specialty drinks and yummy appetizers. Sydney & Patrick just needed to get a few photos with extended family before they joined their guests at the cocktail hour! We love this idea so you can mingle with your guests and not have to worry about doing it during dinner! The room flip was very minimal and Cake Envy arrived to set up the most PERFECT wedding cake and groom’s cake!

When everything was perfect, we invited the guests to find their seats in the newly flipped room.

After introductions, Sydney & Patrick came in so hyped up and the crowd cheered for them as they danced their way under the floral hoop to do their first dance. Sydney’s father gave a beautiful welcome speech and toast before guests were served their dinner. District Catering had everything prepared so perfectly and it was so yummy! Once Sydney & Patrick had their fill of food and everyone had eaten, we moved over to the stunning cakes to cut them before dancing with both sets of parents. It was emotional to watch Sydney & Patrick with their parents but so, so sweet. Next, the dance floor opened and you wouldn’t believe how quickly it turned into a party!

Nice Entertainment had a saxophone and a bongo to play with the DJ music and the guests loved it! We did the garter toss & Sydney gave a beautiful bouquet to her nana as a symbol of her respect for her (so sweet) before breaking out the LED wands and partying just a while longer! But alas, it was time for the send-off, so we lined everyone up down the stairs and gave them a confetti popper as we wished them farewell in their classic car ( don’t worry, everyone got together for an after-party with the bride & groom. Just because your venue time ends doesn’t mean the party has to!). The guests climbed onto the shuttles from Atlantic Limo to head back to the hotels to continue the fun!

Something Spectacular

Because Sydney & Patrick spent time with their guests during cocktail hour, they were truly able to enjoy their first dinner as husband and wife without having to feel rushed to say hello to their guests. They even brought a bench from their house to sit on at their sweetheart table where Sydney’s train flowed behind them. If you ask us, that was one of the most special and personal moments from their day!

Raving Reviews

"Look no further, Marmaros Productions is your dream team. I could write an entire novel on how incredible Marmaros Productions is, but that wouldn't suffice for all that I can say about them. Although the entire team is spectacular, I specifically want to highlight Megan Harris. Almost all wedding planners have the hard skills they need to be successful (organized, detail-driven, professional, etc) as it comes with the job title, but not many planners that I've met possess the soft skills Megan has to get you through one of the biggest events of your life. She's positive, communicative, flexible, calm, has an incredible work ethic, is organized, is your biggest advocate, and most of all she cares about your day as if it were her own. She jumped in RIGHT away once we started partnering together and didn't miss a beat. Megan is the whole package for a wedding planner with mastered skills and a massive heart. Not only do I recommend Marmaros Productions and Megan to help plan your dream wedding, but I would make her lead team member for any event I was planning. Megan was a gift to this whole process for me, and I'm so grateful I know her!"

Happily Ever After

In the eleven months we worked together with Sydney & Patrick, we truly believed we gained friends. Their wedding day was totally perfect and we were so lucky to have been a small part of it. We know the Lord will guide them and be with them through the next chapter of their lives. We can’t wait to see where the future takes the new Mr. & Mrs. Dunn!
